PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANNING
Professional Development Consulting is focused on implementation of a personalized program of faculty growth to build capacity and resilience for change and pedagogical innovation. Focused meetings with school constituents are leveraged to build a customized plan of action that will utilize our deep innovation libraries of content that OESIS has developed. Each of the pathways below can also be developed for your school’s custom needs. Ideally, these programs are aligned with your school’s strategic plan and values which help to ensure a strong likelihood of success and wide implementation.
1. Strategic Identification
Before a customized set of Professional Development offerings can be developed, it is necessary to conduct a series of meetings with leadership, including division heads, department chairs, and other academic leadership. This step leads to better identification of the program alignment needs and the school’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. Members of these groups may be asked to identify pieces of OESIS content that are particularly resonant with the work they intend to do.
2. Customization of Professional Development Program
OESIS staff create a customized course (or courses) that will be provided on our LearnDash learning management system.
Course Implementation
Faculty are asked to complete one or more courses depending upon the work they have chosen, or been asked, to do for institutional growth. Options for how the faculty courses are structured include: Asynchronously or Synchronously
Professional Learning Community Creation (optional)
Faculty can be lead through their courses in a group, with interaction between faculty members:
Course Assessment
Faculty submissions can be either: Non-Badge: without feedback and credentialing or with Badge: feedback by an OESIS Network Leader, final credential awarded for satisfactory completion
