LAKE MARY, Florida, 21 October 2019 — IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS Global/IMS), the world-leading non-profit collaborative advancing educational technology impact, announced today at the OESIS Boston symposium a new initiative to enable modern and more relevant academic transcripts in K-12 education. Sponsored by IMS Global Learning Consortium and the OESIS Network, the PIVOT project provides support and resources for K-12 districts and schools across the United States to accelerate the adoption of emerging models of competency-based, holistic education that enable diversity in conjunction with better capturing of student mastery and achievement. A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LEADING GLOBAL SEL & EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE NON -PROFIT. SANTA MONICA, California, 4 September, 2019— Supporting 5 million people in their EQ network globally, Six Seconds, our SEL partner, worked closely with us over the last 6 months to develop SEL Cohort Pathways for teachers. With 4 levels for school-wide and classroom-specific practices, we are unaware of anything of this depth and breadth for independent schools in this domain. These Pathways are assessed by qualified OESIS Network Leaders trained in conjunction with Six Seconds and draw on our deep combined library of resources. This partnership on SEL also includes workshops, keynotes and sponsorship at our conferences.
A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LEADING MASTERY ASSESSMENT PATHWAYS AND E-PORTFOLIO NETWORK. SANTA MONICA, California, 8 April, 2019 A partnership to bring platform solutions for mastery and competency-based education to independent schools. The OESIS-Portfolium solution is both a student e-portfolio and a 21st century assessment/recognition application: the e-portfolio is a student/parent controlled private life-long collaborative repository of their learning journey; the assessment module is a set of customizable skill pathways based on performance requirements and milestones; recognition of mastery or growth or excellence is based on school-defined rubrics, competencies, skills or standards and rewarded with badges or (mastery) credits towards pre-requisites. Both the e-portfolio and the assessment/recognition solutions sync with any school’s student information and learning management systems. OESIS has developed multiple applications for these solutions along with collaborative enhancements- see below, in particular, for skill transcript sharing, college liaison, 6-12 admissions, badge credentialing and PD pathways.
