Each Pathway takes 8-10 hours of work minimum, has submissions that can be evaluated by a Network Leader, includes participation in discussions,  should generally be completed within 30 days from enrollment, and comes with a Teacher portfolio that harbors the OESIS verified badge on completion."
Each OESIS Pathway has four levels, each requiring a minimum of eight hours. Network Leaders provide feedback on faculty submissions,
enabling educators to develop and enhance innovative curriculum in various subject areas.
New For the Summer "Flex Blended Learning Pathway"
A recent testimonial from a History Teacher, Gene Cassidy at Miss Porter's School (CT) who did a CBE Pathway.
"Thanks to this Intro CBE Pathway, my thinking in terms of assessment has changed in the largest meta-sense by getting me to think hard about the “threshold concepts” in my discipline of history…. Stripping down content to the most central pieces and then thinking hard about how my assessments relate to what I want my learning outcomes to be has resulted in me feeling far less guilty about the things that I am not teaching and far happier about the things that I am. Looking forward to the Level 1 CBE Pathway, I hope to gain more practical approaches toward shaping my curriculum to better suit the notion of competencies."
Each milestone requires reading, watching videos and reflecting on how the content applies to the classroom. The first level provides an introduction to the pedagogical or curricular domain relevant to the teacher’s interests.
This Pathway requires the Introductory Level Badge as a pre-requisite or school senior admin approval. For the teacher(s) who is ready to do the planning and preparation, this pathway provides a series of tasks as well as deeper content exploration. Level 1 is done with group discussions and peer review. It also includes live check-ins with Pathway evaluators.
Level II Pathways are for those who have completed Level 1 with at least one year's experience. It will require a reflection and analysis of performance and plans for improvement and change. This cohort involves peer and pathway evaluators’ feedback.
The Level III Master Credential is primarily a series of peer collaboration and review steps of a teacher who has two to three years’ experience in a domain. It includes presentation of their work, analysis and research behind practice and outcomes.
